✨ The Finding Light podcast has some BIG news today! ✨

Be sure to listen until the end because there is one really big announcement you don’t want to miss!

Jumping for Joy - feat. Joy Griffin

On today’s podcast, Erica and I found a whole lot of light by chatting with one of the most joyful people in the world, Joy Griffin! ☀️

At the age of 22, Joy was completely paralyzed and told that she would never walk again or be able to have children.

But God had different plans. A year and a half after becoming immobilized, Joy had a personal encounter with the living God and she was radically changed from the inside out…

Living Beyond Cancer - feat. Courtney Allen

On today’s podcast, Erica and I were blessed to chat with one of our very best friends, Courtney Allen.

In 2019, at just 19 years old, Courtney was diagnosed with an incredibly rare form of cancer. Since then, she has undergone numerous treatment options with grace and strength only the Lord can provide.

Courtney shares with us what she has learned through her journey and how God is giving her joy in the midst of a scary prognosis. 🦋

Audience of One - feat. Zach Gordon

After Zach Gordon graduated from Carrollton High School, he was considered the top tight end recruit in the state of Georgia. His journey then led him to play football at Wake Forest University.

On today’s podcast, Zach shares his story of resiliency after becoming temporarily paralyzed during a Wake Forest football scrimmage in 2014.

Suicide: Silencing the Stigma - feat. Ivey Rollins

Today’s podcast is a conversation around the stigma of suicide and the support surrounding those who have lost a loved one to suicide.

Our guest, Ivey Rollins, shares with us her role as co-facilitator of the Carroll County Survivors of Suicide Loss Support Group (SOS), along with her own personal experience with suicide.

Wedding Dress Shopping in the Dark

I said yes to my dream dress, and on today’s podcast, Erica and I discuss what it was like for me to pick out my wedding dress all while completely blind. 💍🤍

⁣⁣⁣⁣P.S. You’ll want to listen to the whole podcast because my fiance, Seth, joined in for a little fun at the very end!

The Proposal - feat. Seth Cain

If you haven’t heard yet, I’m getting married! 💛

And today’s podcast was a blast because my new fiancé, Seth, and I shared all of the details about our engagement!

Listen in as we talk about how we decided on forever, how Seth popped the question, and even when the big day will be! I promise you don’t want to miss this episode. 🥰

The Bumpy Road to Blessings - feat. Melissa Hill

On today’s podcast, Erica and I discuss with special guest, Melissa Hill, that sometimes our biggest blessings can come out of our hardest hurdles in life. 💛

Melissa was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at the age of 20 while living out of her dream of playing college softball. She found herself having to give up her dream and wondering what she would do with her life.

Despite two major surgeries, Melissa persevered, graduated from college, got married, and began her career. 🥰

The Fight for a Family - Part 2 - feat. Stephanie Shelton

Today’s podcast is a continuation of a conversation Erica and I recently had with one of my very best friends, Stephanie Shelton. She joined us for a discussion on infertility, loss, and trials, and how, through it all, she has learned to keep her faith and trust in God! 💛

Trust us, you don’t want to miss part 1 of this amazing story! Be sure to check it out before listening to part 2.

The Fight for a Family - Part 1 - feat. Stephanie Shelton

Today’s podcast was super special to me because one of my very best friends, Stephanie Shelton, has joined us for a conversation on infertility, loss, and trials, and how, through it all, she has learned to keep her faith and trust in God! 💛

If you enjoy listening to Stephanie’s story, please be sure to subscribe to the Finding Light podcast because part 2 of her story will be coming out next week!

Dating with a Disability - feat. Chase Jones & Cali Steed

Today’s podcast was extra fun because my boyfriend, Seth Cain, and our good friends, Chase Jones & Cali Steed, joined us for a conversation on DATING! 💛💛

Chase was in an accident that left him paralyzed. Although our disabilities may look quite a bit different, we discuss the similarities that come with dating with a disability.⁣

We hope you enjoy learning more about our relationships in this episode!

Chase the Victory - feat. Kiki McDaniel

Chase McDaniel was diagnosed with cancer two weeks before his 17th birthday.

While Chase was battling cancer, he lived his life full of joy, the kind of joy that can only be found through the Lord. He relied on his faith in God to make it through every second.

Chase passed away on November 16, 2019, but God continues to use his life to influence and impact people.

The McDaniel family founded the Chase the Victory foundation in honor of Chase to continue to share with others what it means to Chase the Victory, share hope, and spread kindness.

The Lord Stands for Us - feat. Ally Grizzard

She’s known as “the paralyzed bride that walked down the aisle” but there’s so much more to Ally Grizzard’s story!

A little over 5 years ago, Ally was in a car accident that changed her life forever. She shares with us how she was able to find the strength & determination to move forward despite facing immense physical and emotional challenges.⁣

Listen in to see how Ally has allowed the Lord to stand for her.

From Tragedy to Triumph - feat. Cameron Stovall

Today’s episode on the Finding Light podcast is definitely one of the silliest to date! 😆

Erica and I had the pleasure of interviewing Cameron Stovall. Cam, like myself, dealt with an unimaginable tragedy when he suddenly lost his sight back in 2014.

He joyfully shares his story of how he was able to turn his tragedy into triumph and fear into faith. ☀️

We promise you’ll at least laugh once (or hopefully a whole lot more)!

I Am Not My Past - feat. Ria Story

She was sexually abused and trafficked by her father. At 19 years old, Ria left home with nothing; no job, no car, no money, not even a high school diploma.

Now, she tells her story of how she overcame the fear, doubt, and shame that came with the years of abuse by her father and how her faith in God has guided her into being an overcomer with Sara Claudia, Erica, and you.

Blind Pet Peeves

We all have our different pet peeves. You know, those little (or big) annoyances that just make your skin crawl?

I bet you can think of a few of your own right about now.

Well, when you’re blind, your pet peeves may be a little unique but some of them might be surprisingly familiar to just about anybody..

How Can I Trust God?

On today’s episode, we mix things up a bit! Most days, Erica and I do our own little Bible study together… But today, we wanted to invite y’all in as we go through Genesis chapter 22 together.

This chapter is super fun to dive into because it’s the story of Abraham trusting God enough to be willing to sacrifice his only son (which he didn’t conceive with his wife, Sarah, until he was 100, by the way)!

Finding Friends is Hard

Finding friends can be pretty hard.

Especially when we are in the midst of big life changes. Erica and I have dealt with this in our own lives. For me, I struggled with making new friends after losing my sight. For Erica, she struggled with this after graduating from college and entering into young adulthood.
